JER: “ Nobody Likes a Goblin ” by Ben Hatke is an homage to the 1980’s fantasy world of Dungeon & Dragons and Lord of the Rings. The Wizard, the Elf, the Dwarf, and the Rogue (?) storm a dungeon for treasure, but I had already bonded with the cute Goblin, and was sad that his rat friends were scared away, his torches knocked over, his pantry plundered, and his friend skeleton taken captive. But the Goblin was brave and “walked out into the wide world to find his friend” and the hill-troll’s “Honk-Honk”. “Be careful,” said the troll. “Nobody likes a goblin.”
