JER: “ Horrible Bear! ” by author Ame Dyckman and illustrator Zachariah OHora explores how all of us can be susceptible to emotional reactivity.  A kite was broken, words were said, tantrums resulted, barging and ruckus were practiced, but when we have a moment to reflect we can realize that sometimes things happen without there being ill intent.  Sometimes kites break, a favorite stuffie loses an ear, or “the excrement hits the air conditioning” (from one of my favorite books “Hocus Pocus”, Kurt Vonnegut) - but when it happens to us we can learn empathy.

A year and a half ago, @ajmonaco had an idea for a side hustle that sounded like it had a lot of promise and could generate some passive income.  I had been writing occasional children’s book reviews on a personal blog, and Andy wanted to take us to the BIGTIME!  He thought up a really great name, @dadsreadtoo , and we talked about all the spin off opportunities for all the things dads can do TOO, dadssewtoo, @dadsparenttoo, dadsknittoo, dadscooktoo, etcetera.  Needless to say, I quickly learned that Instagramming isn’t a viable career change for me.  Sheepishly, I honestly thought that authors/publishers would start paying me for children’s book reviews, or at very least I would get a few books gifted to me.  Well, it has been one and a half years and 180+ posts, but I am happy to say, MY SHIP HAS FINALLY COME IN!!!!! @macropusbooks sent me this COLORING BOOK, totally and completely FREE, and I am feeling PRETTY, PRETTY, PRETTY GOOD right now! ...
